Zero Waste Initiatives in Silsden

The Zero Waste group is built around a simple idea — most things that get thrown away don’t need to be. Through repair cafés, swap events and practical workshops, we help people in Silsden get more out of what they already own, and waste less in the process.

What we focus on

  • Running a monthly repair café where volunteers fix clothes, electricals, bikes and more
  • Organising swap events for clothes, books, plants and household items
  • Workshops on mending, preserving, composting and reducing food waste
  • Encouraging local businesses to reduce packaging and single-use plastics

VOLUNTEER

There's a place for Everyone here

If you can repair, sew, fix bikes or electronics, we’d love to have you at our repair café. If you can’t do any of those things but want to help organise or run events, that’s just as valuable. Come along to an event first and see how it works.
