The draft Road Traffic Order has been completed and has been through its advertising procedure. It was fully anticipated at the time that interested parties such as road hauliers would raise legal challenges to the proposed ban. Unfortunately Bradford Council will not commit any resources to defending any such legal challenge, so it is possible that it will be quashed.

We are obviously hopeful that the ban will succeed but the hopeful message is at least that our own Town Council has supported this important initiative. This work is still ongoing but shows the positive effect of our actions.
