We work with other local organisations to accept unwanted items which can be useful for others, saving them form landfill.

Please check our calendar of events for the dates each of our partners will attend Silsden Repair Café.

We have collected unwanted laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones, and pass these onto local charity Solidaritech https://solidaritech.com who repurpose them, passing them on to asylum seekers and refugees to help them resolve their immigration status, pursue studies and start their lives in their new country. Solidaritech professionally wipe your old hard drives, installing new Operating Systems to make a new, quicker and more usable machine.

We work with Upcycle (Margaret Carey Foundation) https://upcyclemcf.org to collect unwanted bicycles. They work in Bradford and in prisons across the UK, running bike repair workshops which help trainees to learn different skills, gain valuable experience and build the resilience and self-belief they need to succeed.

We also partner with Ilkley Tools for Africa, collecting unwanted tools and haberdashery items for Workaid www.workaid.com  These tools are passed on to help people in Africa improve their self-reliance.

Once a quarter, we run a Swapping not Shopping session, where you can bring in items of clothing and swap them for a new outfit. Why shop for new when you can swap. We simply request a donation of £1.
