Our Energy group volunteers run an Energy Helpdesk monthly at the Repair Café and at the Hive Community centre. Please refer to the Calendar of Events for dates and venues.
At the Helpdesk volunteers can give information about making your home more energy efficient, including options for better insulation, tackling cold areas in your house and dealing with damp and condensation. They can arrange to visit you at home to carry out a Home Energy Audit which will specifically address your own situation. See here for more information.
Our volunteers can also help you to understand your fuel bill, explore whether you are on the best tariff and, where applicable, support you to apply for grants to cover the cost of insulation, new gas boilers or solar panels.
