We currently have two projects planting in Silsden:
- Working with Silsden Primary School. The new school was opened in 2022 with relatively undeveloped grounds. We have regular work parties helping to develop the grounds for both children and wildlife. We are always keen to welcome new volunteers -info@cas.bvswebdesign.co.uk.
- We are working with the Bull Brand company on the verge that edges their site at the junction of Keighley Road and Belton Road. This area is very visible to the general public, so we hope it will also help promote the work of CAS in general.
Bull Brand is providing funding for trees, a lavender hedge and wildflowers which CAS volunteers will initially plant up in one area. Depending on the success of this ‘trial’ area, the aim is to extend this when funding and volunteer time allows, so that the whole area is transformed and no longer simply sprayed with herbicide.
